Mechanical Ad Specifications

Disk media
Zip 100;Zip 250;Jaz 1GB;Jaz 2GB;CD;floppy.

Platforms
All Microsoft and Apple platform versions are acceptable.

Software applications
Preferred: Quark XPress; Photoshop; Illustrator.
Others accepted: PageMaker; InDesign; FreeHand.

PDF
Adobe Acrobat files are acceptable with the proper Job Option settings. Please call Sexton Printing at 651-457-9255 for instructions.

Color formats
CMYK; grayscale; duotone; monotone.

Import graphic
Preferred: TIFF;EPS (no DCS formats).
Unacceptable :.wmf (metafile), .wpg (most RGB clip art made for laser printers).

Supplying imported graphic links
All original import graphics must be supplied including links that are stored or nested within the application file. Do not nest a Quark EPS file back into a Quark document.

Fonts
Include all fonts used within the application file and graphic imports. Adobe PostScript fonts are preferred (include both the printer and screen font). Multiple master and OpenType fonts are acceptable. We do not guarantee the flow of TrueType fonts.

Laser proofs
Along with your files, please submit a final laser copy. Mark page bleed and spot color information; indicate the scale of the proof if other than 100%.
